As part of our committment to broaden access to anthropological research, AAA is now providing free access to content from American Anthropologist, Anthropology News, Ethos, and PoLAR: Political and Legal Anthropology Review that published before 1974.
The initiative, approved last year by the AAA Executive Board, allows for issues from these journals published between 1888 and 1973 to be made available free of charge via the Wiley-Blackwell platform, Wiley Interscience (http://www.wiley.com/bw/journal.asp?ref=ANTH-SOUR).
Previously, this content was only available via AAA membership, library subscription or on a “pay per view” basis. For more information about free access to this pre-1974 content, please contact Dion Dears (firstname.lastname@example.org), Anthrosource Product Manager.
The title that has been publishing longest, and therefore has with the most newly free content, is American Anthropologist, which started in 1888. Why not check out the articles from the first ever issue, listed below?
